An unidentified woman has been found d3ad on the premises of a church in the Obelewo area of Osogbo, Osun State, with her left wrist reportedly severed.
The discovery prompted detectives from the Nigeria Police Force to visit the scene and commence investigations into the disturbing incident.
According to a statement issued on Sunday by the Force Public Relations Officer, Ani Iniedu, preliminary findings indicated that the woman had allegedly been k!lled and that her left wrist was severed and taken away by unidentified individuals.
Police Begin Investigation Into Mysterious D3ath
Iniedu said the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death and the motive behind the alleged k!lling had not yet been established.
He added that investigators were working to identify the deceased and determine what led to her death.
“The investigations revealed that the deceased was sl@ughtered and her left wrist severed and taken away by unknown persons.”
The police spokesperson further disclosed that efforts were ongoing to establish the identity of the deceased and uncover the circumstances surrounding her d3ath.
Corpse Deposited for Autopsy
Following the discovery, the woman’s remains were reportedly taken to a hospital mortuary for further examination.
“The corpse was deposited at the hospital mortuary for autopsy,” he revealed.
The State Command Investigation Department has commenced a formal investigation into the incident, while efforts are ongoing to identify the deceased and apprehend those responsible.
