A speeding car k!lled two pupils from the Government Secondary School (GSS) in Yangoji, Kwali Area of the Federal Capital Territory.
On Friday, March 27, a witness told Daily Trust that the incident occurred on Tuesday at approximately 2:54 pm. The two students were heading home after school dismissal when a Toyota Lexus Jeep with registration number PJHR 943 unexpectedly collided with them while traveling at a high speed.
According to the witness, the driver lost control of the car and crashed into the students, whose identities are still unknown.
Two other students also sustained injuries in the incident.
An official of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed the accident.
He stated that the driver veered off the road while speeding and struck the students as they were trekking home.
He confirmed that the bodies of the two deceased students were handed over to their relatives for burial, while the two injured students were taken to Kwali General Hospital for treatment.
The FRSC official added that the driver and the vehicle have been handed over to the Kwali Police Division for further investigation.
