Tonto Dikeh, a Nollywood actress and evangelist, has established a new Christian organization in Abuja known as the New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle.
Dikeh announced the formation of the interdenominational fellowship on Instagram, characterising it as a “interdenominational altar, spiritual home, and global movement of consecrated believers”.
According to the actress, the new ministry was established to provide a space for believers to gather for prayer, revival, spiritual growth, and an encounter with the “raw power, purity, and presence of God.”
Tonto Dikeh describes the vision behind the new fellowship.
The friendship is based on the biblical verse Mark 2:22, which discusses new wine and old wineskins.
NWPT stated that its mission is to foster a global awakening of consecrated believers who will work in God’s presence and help to transform nations.
The organization’s mission stated that it would establish an interdenominational altar of prayer and revival, provide apostolic training, equip believers, activate spiritual talents, and promote soul winning.
It also established four essential values under the acronym FIRE: flame of intercession, intimacy and consecration, revival and soul winning, and empowerment thru deliverance and healing.
The fellowship stated that it is “not a church” but rather “an intense gathering” of people dedicated to God’s objectives.
Its welcome message asked members to stay devoted to prayer, interact with the group, and seek “the secret place”.
NWPT will have its fellowship meetings every Friday at 6 p.m. in Jabi, Abuja.
The launch is another visible step in Dikeh’s expanding involvement in Christian ministry, as she mixes her entertainment experience with her proclaimed religious calling.
