“They Ran to Ibas for Their Money!” – Explosive Claims Emerge as Rivers Assembly Faces Impeachment Storm

PDP chieftain Daboikiabo Warmate has accused members of the Rivers State House of Assembly of secretly approaching Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd), to demand payment of their outstanding salaries and allowances.

Reacting to the impeachment notice served on Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his deputy, Warmate alleged in a Viable TV video that the lawmakers have refused to tell Rivers people whether Ibas actually paid them. He said their silence is suspicious, especially as they accuse the governor of withholding their entitlements.

Warmate also questioned reports that the lawmakers allegedly received huge cash and brand-new 2025 SUVs, asking whether such benefits were obtained legally. He condemned the assembly for putting personal interest above public service and demanded full accountability.
