A Nigerian man identified as @JahBlesssaint21 on X has recounted how his cousin’s girlfriend allegedly gave away an iPhone 17 Pro Max he bought for her as a birthday present.
According to the X user, his cousin had surprised his girlfriend with the expensive smartphone, leaving her excited enough to share the gift with her followers online.
However, about three weeks after receiving the phone, the woman was reportedly no longer in possession of the device.
The situation came to light following an argument between the couple, during which questions were raised about the whereabouts of the phone.
The woman had initially claimed that she gave the iPhone to her younger brother after his phone reportedly stopped working and he needed a better device for work.
“Three weeks later, he noticed that the phone was no longer with her. so he asked her where it was.She told him she had given it to her younger brother because he needed a better phone for work and his old phone had stopped working“, The tweet reads in part.
However, the account claimed that the man later discovered that the iPhone had actually been given to another boyfriend, contradicting the explanation she initially provided.
The revelation reportedly left his cousin upset, particularly because he was not informed before the phone was handed over to someone else.
He subsequently questioned why she had decided to give out the expensive gift without first discussing it with him.
