Zlatan Ibrahimović, a former football player, has given a moving story of the suffering he went through after his long-time agent, Mino Raiola, passed away.

In an interview, Ibrahimović said that Raiola’s passing was one of the most difficult times in his life and that it was the last time he had truly shed tears.

The former striker immediately mentioned Raiola, with whom he had a close personal and professional relationship, when asked when he had last shed tears.

“When Mino passed away. I told you, it was a big hit for me. And I cried until the last… Finished. And it’s still not finished because sometimes I get flashbacks and it brings me down in a way that I miss him too much. And I think everybody that knows him and me, they know how close we were.”

The interviewer then asked when Raiola died, to which Ibrahimović replied: “Passed away last year.”

Without hesitation, Ibrahimović responded: “I miss you.”

Raiola, one of football’s most influential agents, represented several of the sport’s biggest stars throughout his career.

Beyond their professional relationship, he and Ibrahimović were considered close friends who collaborated for many years.

As he evaluated the long-term effects of losing someone he saw as significant in both his personal and football careers, Ibrahimović’s comments provided a unique window into his emotional side.
