Fenerbahce target Rashford after failed Barcelona move

Marcus Rashford, a forward for Manchester United, has emerged as a surprising target for Fenerbahce. The Turkish powerhouses are apparently willing to make a significant financial commitment to get Rashford this summer.

After returning from a fruitful loan at Barcelona, where he made an impression even though the Spanish champions decided not to make the deal permanent, the England international is considering his future.

Several teams are now showing interest in Rashford; Fenerbahce has named him one of their top attacking targets for the next campaign.

As they intensify attempts to bolster their team under new head coach Ismail Kartal, the Istanbul club has reportedly already been in touch with Rashford’s representation.

The 28-year-old is reportedly part of a three-person shortlist that also includes Crystal Palace attacker Ismaïla Sarr and AC Milan winger Rafael Leão.

According to reports, Fenerbahce has begun talks with Sarr’s agents regarding Leão, but they have not yet come to a consensus.

Following England’s third-place performance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Rashford is not anticipated to make a snap decision; instead, he will take his time weighing his alternatives before deciding where to go next.

Fenerbahce is willing to make significant investments in seasoned attacking talent in order to assemble a team that can compete with Galatasaray, the current Turkish champions.

After his successful time in Spain, the club sees Rashford as a high-profile acquisition who may greatly bolster their front line.

After the England forward’s loan ended, Barcelona manager Hansi Flick recently acknowledged that he would miss him, but the Catalan team eventually chose not to pursue a permanent transfer.

Ismaïla Sarr, a winger for Crystal Palace, is still a desirable option for Fenerbahce following an incredible season in which he scored 21 goals, helping Palace win the UEFA Europa Conference League, and scored four goals for Senegal at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
