“The fastest way to become a billionaire”- Ubi Franklin opens up in recent interview

Ubi Franklin, a well-known businessman and music executive, has offered his opinions on what he thinks would be one of the quickest ways for someone to become extremely wealthy in Nigeria.

In a recent interview posted on X (previously Twitter), he recommended investing in food vendors that operate in crowded, bustling regions, especially those near car parks.

“The fastest way to become a billionaire on the mainland or in a populated area is to invest in 100 mama-put food vendors that sell food at the motor park,” he said.

He clarified that an investor might provide working capital of ₦50,000 to each vendor, collecting a piece of their daily returns while the vendors use a portion of the earnings to maintain their companies.

Ubi Franklin claims that operating 100 suppliers at once might yield significant profits. He used a computation based on the daily amount received from each vendor to demonstrate his point.

“Just imagine that you give them ₦50,000 to cook every day, and then they come back with ₦150k or ₦200k. And you take ₦50,000, give them ₦50,000 as their earning, and they use the remaining ₦50,000 to go and continue cooking.

Every day you are taking ₦50,000 from them. Calculate ₦50,000 daily times 365 days. That’s on one person. In a year, you will make ₦1.8 billion,” he added.

Since then, his comments have sparked internet discussions. While some Nigerians questioned the model’s viability and the numbers used in his computation, others applauded the concept as an unorthodox economic strategy.

As Nigerians discuss various strategies for creating successful businesses in the nation, Ubi’s proposal has continued to garner attention.
