A woman sparked considerable outrage on social media after providing questionable relationship advice in a viral video, advising unmarried women not to reveal that they had partners while meeting new guys.
In the video, she stated that being in a relationship does not imply that a woman belongs to anyone until she is legally married, and that disclosing the existence of a partner may impede her from meeting her future husband.
According to the lady, unmarried women should continue to meet possible spouses until they are married.
“As long as you are not married, you belong to no one. Meeting a man and telling him you have a boyfriend sounds very foolish of you. I mean, why would you do that?”
She also suggested that women should not let a boyfriend prevent them from meeting someone who could eventually become their husband.
“If you’re not married, do not allow your boyfriend to stop you from meeting your future husband. Attend all date until you are finally taken to the altar.”
The speaker also attacked what she saw as a rising acceptance of casual partnerships, claiming that certain dating habits have become common among young people.
She said:
“Girl to girl, don’t ever tell that man that you just met that you have a boyfriend. Why would you tell someone that you’re in a relationship? This is a potential husband.”
She went on to say that such behaviour might lead to several partnerships over time, making more inflammatory remarks regarding “body counts” and prostitution.
