Apostle Johnson Suleman’s remarks regarding Abia State and the alleged indirect political campaigning by pastors have drawn criticism from Nollywood actress Doris Ogala.

She questioned the cleric’s function as a pastor on her Instagram account and criticised certain individuals who claim to be pastors for supposedly utilising religion as a source of income.

“Most people you see that call themselves pastors are lazy people who couldn’t work but decided to call themselves and start deceiving by claiming God called them. Some even go extra mile to involve in voodoo.

Suleman Johnson, what is his work? Does that man look and behave like a pastor? Suleman, I know a lot that will shock the world. Forget the fact I said I don’t know you. I know a lot that happened at Protea Hotel Lagos, including room numbers,” she wrote.

In response to Suleman’s remarks regarding energy in Abia State, the actress questioned his assertion that the state has electricity available around-the-clock.

She also mentioned Pastor Jerry Eze and threatened to use Suleman as an example to confront pastors who, in her opinion, use deceptive remarks to support political candidates.

“How dare you come to lie that there’s 24-hour light in Abia? And you claim you were not campaigning. Suleman Johnson, I will use you as an example to put an end to pastors using indirect speech to campaign for failed leaders. Even Jerry Eze, I’m waiting for you to try it. Even the one you did with Obi, you go collect,” she added.

Ogala’s comments have sparked responses on the internet, with some viewers discussing the place of pastors in politics and others concentrating on her accusations against Suleman.
