A Nigerian guy told a story of a woman who allegedly left her husband when he lost his lucrative job and then claimed to be a widow when completing a paperwork for business travel.

@mikeliberation posted the story on X, formerly Twitter, stating that his uncle used to make ₦750,000 a month before he lost his job.

After reportedly having trouble finding another employment, the uncle eventually began working as a truck driver for a clean water industry, earning ₦50,000 per month.

“My uncle was earning ₦750,000 monthly before he lost his job,” the X user wrote.

He clarified that the man accepted the truck-driving job despite the substantial drop in his pay after months of looking for work.

“After months of searching, he started driving a truck for a pure water factory and earned only ₦50,000 per month,” he stated.

The couple’s living conditions were reportedly impacted when their rent ran out.

Later, the uncle’s wife received a promotion at her job and started making ₦500,000 per month.

“His wife got promoted and began earning ₦500,000 a month,” the X user wrote.

The woman later rented another flat, he said, but she wouldn’t let her husband reside with her.

“His wife rented another apartment and refused to let him stay with her,” he stated.

When the woman’s employer allegedly planned an international trip for workers and their spouses, the matter took a different turn.

The woman filled out the travel form but stated she was a widow, according to the X user.

“Last month, her company organized an overseas trip for employees and their spouses.

“She filled out the form and claimed she was a widow,” he wrote.

According to reports, the woman was in an accident on her way to the airport for the vacation.

“On her way to the airport, she was involved in an accident and broke both legs,” the X user stated.

The uncle apparently took up the role of caring for her following the injury, despite their marital problems.

“For the past one month, the same husband she called a widow over has been the one caring for her in the hospital,” he wrote.
