Despite her repeated claims that she has moved on, Sophia Momodu, the babymama of Afrobeat superstar Davido, has once again responded to fans who still associate her with the singer.
Sophia described how a content creator saw her during a recent live session, became excited, and yelled, “Mama Imade, OBO’s wife.” Sophia claims that she felt uneasy about the incident.

“The guy that was doing content saw me and then he got really excited and shouted ‘Mama Imade, OBO’s wife.’ I said, where? I was like, where? I didn’t see oo. It’s the wrong person, guys, the wrong female,” she explained.

“Let’s not do that. Let’s respect people’s boundaries, let’s respect people’s rules. If people have moved on, allow them to move on. Everyone is at peace,” she added.
Online discussions about respect, boundaries, and identity have been triggered by her remarks, particularly for women who are continuously defined by their previous relationships.
Many reactions followed. One commentator wrote, “People should let this woman be, allow her live her life.” Another said, “This looks like the opposite; you’re indirectly saying you miss him.”
In the meantime, Davido is wed to Chioma Rowland, his longtime partner, and the two of them have twins.
Sophia Momodu’s message is straightforward and uncomplicated: she wants respect, peace, and the ability to live freely without being constrained by a previous relationship.
