Actor Stan Nze of Nollywood has voiced his annoyance over allegations of stealing at the recent music ceremony for the late Alexx Ekubo in Lekki, Lagos State.

This comes after rumours circulated that actress Bam Bam’s phone was taken during the event.

The actor bemoaned the alleged theft of numerous participants’ phones during a time when people had gathered to grieve and support one another in a video that was posted online.

He claims that during the occasion, over five phones were reported missing.

Nze made the case that citizens have an obligation to preserve integrity and values by using the incident to consider more general societal challenges.

He pointed out that although many Nigerians frequently attack political figures and governmental organisations, unethical behaviour by common people adds to the problems the nation faces.

“How can you come to a service of songs where people are mourning and grieving for the late Alexx Ekubo and you steål phones? More than five phones were missing yesterday.
We are always complaining about the government, but if we chase everyone from the government, who will enter there? Still the citizens”
