A South African woman has caused controversy on social media by claiming that a Nigerian man cannot date her unless he pays her N40 million a month.

The young woman stated in an interview with media personality Nedu that she can earn the same amount working in a club in Nigeria, so she is not obligated to any man who offers to give her less simply because he wants to be her boyfriend. She claims that being a girl comes at a high cost.

She also stated in the podcast that she feels safer using Uber in Nigeria than in South Africa, where she is originally from.
