A Nigerian man has sparked outrage online after warning young men not to hurry into marriage at a young age, following allegations that his wife abandoned him during a time of financial hardship.
In a viral video published on X (previously Twitter), he explained that he married in 2022 when he was financially secure, but things changed when he ran into financial troubles.

“As a young man, I’ll never advise anyone to marry at a very young age. The woman I married when I had money in 2022 has left me because of the financial struggles we’ve faced for just a few months.”
He confessed that his wife abandoned their home despite the fact that they had two children together, stating that the children were still very little.
The man stated that the experience had shattered his heart and caused him to ponder on advice he had previously received but did not heed.
“She left, leaving our two kids who she’s still breastfeeding. I wish I had listened to GehGeh’s advice. All this wouldn’t have happened to me.”
His message has sparked debate online, with many people expressing conflicting views on marriage and financial difficulties in relationships.
