A resident of Lagos Island has expressed concern about the area’s deteriorating living conditions, specifically a lack of access to clean water.
In an online video, the woman described the situation as tough, stating that many locals struggle on a daily basis despite the outward image of an affluent lifestyle commonly associated with the area.
She explained that access to water has become a big concern, forcing some homes to purchase water on a daily basis.
According to her, even drilling boreholes does not give a dependable answer because the water extracted is frequently salty and unfit for use.
She noted that households may have to rely on sachet water or pay for truck supplies to meet their daily demands.
“We’re really suffering here on Lagos Island. Forget all these fake life, we are suffering and smiling here in Lagos Island. We don’t have water on Lagos Island. Sometimes I have to buy pure water. One truck of water is sold for 3k on Lagos Island. Lagos Island don’t have natural resources. If we dig borehole it’s salt water that will come out,” she lamented.
