“RCCG used my dad’s property for free for 15 years, then turned their back on him…” – Lady calls out RCCG

By revealing her family’s story and accusing the Redeemed Christian Church of God of exploiting her father’s charity, a Nigerian woman has criticised the organization.

Online reactions have been triggered by @D_goodybag’s narrative on X (previously Twitter), where she described how the church reportedly used her father’s property for years without acknowledgement.

The woman disclosed that the church allegedly ran on her father’s land for almost 15 years without paying rent.

She claims that in order to keep the church running properly at that time, her father also sent equipment and other assistance.

She clarified that things changed when it came time for her father to be considered for a pastoral role.

She claimed that the church ignored his years of contributions and claimed that his family members were not active members.

She then asserted that the church disregarded her father’s contributions and decided not to appoint him as a pastor.

She claims that despite their sacrifices, the family felt exploited and undervalued as a result.

She described how she and her younger brother responded to the situation by taking the church’s possessions from the premises in the middle of the night.

She further said that despite taking advantage of her father’s money, church leaders frequently urged members to make financial contributions, particularly when pastors needed assistance.

Read what she said below:

“RCCG stayed in my dad’s property for free, for good 15 years. Time to make him pastor, they realized his family are not members of the church & forgot the free property & equipments. One midnight, my younger brother & I brought out all their things. …It’s their way. When they asked him to go for pastors training He almost gave them the document of that property. Omo I thank God for Jesus.

So na him divine calling to give free church. Church members needs help, let us pray Pastor needs money, let us contribute. They were entitled to his resources…”
