On Saturday, September 5, 2026 Tope Fasua, the President’s Special Advisor on Economic Matters, discussed the administration’s economic successes on Arise TV.

Fasua noted in his investigation that Uber purchased a Nigerian business known as “Glovo” despite having left the country.

Adesuwa Giwa-Osagie, the anchor of Arise TV, quickly corrected him, pointing out that Glovo is a Spanish corporation rather than a Nigerian one. Her interruption infuriated Fasua, who voiced his disapproval right away.
