President Trump says King Charles ‘agrees with me’ that Iran should never have nuclear weapon

Donald Trump has said that King Charles III supports his view that Iran must never be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons.

Speaking at a state dinner held at the White House on Tuesday evening, Trump claimed the United States had successfully “militarily defeated” its opponent in the Middle East conflict.

According to Trump, efforts in the region were progressing well, adding that both he and King Charles strongly opposed Iran possessing nuclear weapons. He also stated that Iran clearly understood the US position on the matter.

The remarks have raised concerns that the British monarch may be drawn into the growing political controversy surrounding tensions in the Middle East.
