Police in South Africa reportedly intervened to stop a group of individuals from att@cking a roadside fruit and vegetable stand operated by a woman from Mozambique.
The incident reportedly occurred in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, ahead of a planned march organised by the March and March Movement, a group calling for the removal of undocumented immigrants from the country.
Videos and reports circulating online showed tensions rising in the area before police officers stepped in to prevent violence and restore order.
The development comes amid renewed concerns over xenophobic tensions in South Africa, where foreign nationals from other African countries have periodically faced hostility, att@cks, and threats targeting their businesses and communities.
