A Nigerian woman serving in the United States Army has made an emotional public appeal to U.S. President Donald Trump, pleading for help to reunite with her 10-year-old daughter, who remains stranded in Nigeria.

In a video shared online, the woman, identified as Uzumaka, said she has been separated from her daughter for several years while trying to complete the immigration process.

According to her, her daughter has already completed the required U.S. immigration procedures but has been unable to travel because of the current visa restrictions.

She explained that the situation has become even more urgent because her daughter is now critically ill and requires medical care that she believes would be difficult to access in Nigeria.

She said:

“I am only simply asking that there should be an exception for me. My daughter is critically ill. I have all the paperwork to prove it, medical reports.”

The U.S. Army service member disclosed that she had already reached out to her military commanders and Senator Amy Klobuchar, but was informed that the visa process was proceeding as scheduled.

Appealing directly to President Trump, she said:

“Please, Mr President, help me reunite with my daughter.”

She also urged members of the public to share her video widely to help amplify her appeal, revealing that she had contacted several major news organisations without receiving a response.

“This is just a mother fighting for her daughter to live and survive,” she added.

Her emotional plea has since attracted widespread reactions on social media, with many expressing sympathy and hoping that humanitarian consideration will be given to her request.
