“Person I trusted most has ruined me” — Man laments as wife sells his properties, gives money to her brother

A Nigerian man has described the devastating betrayal he experienced only two years into his marriage.

According to his narrative, he trusted his wife with all of his property paperwork, including lands and houses, since he believed in her honesty and religious commitment.

He even bought other properties in her name, believing they were establishing a future together.

The scenario changed last month when his firm encountered a hard patch. When he needed money to settle a loan, he asked his wife for the property documents.

She began shaking and admitted to selling all of her belongings to aid her brother. The man stated that all he worked for was now gone.

He stated that he had detained both his wife and her brother, but police and family members are asking for her release.

Meanwhile, his firm continues to flounder, and his debts grow.

Thiago commented: “That is not religion. That is betrayal. If she sold properties without your consent, that is fraud. Focus on getting a strong lawyer immediately and see if the sales can be challenged legally. Do not let family pressure override your future. Protect what is left.”

Stephen said: “How can you trust a human being with everything? You practically surrendered your Authority to another human being and now you have to learn the hard way.”

Mary Charles wrote: “Ensure she pays you every dime. How do you sell off your husband’s property in your custody. Honestly she never lived you. I’m so sorry but ensure she pays.”

Clinton noted: “Because The documents in your names are much or because when registered with your name the investment will not yield profit or not for the future… I don’t blame her a bit, your type hardly supports family members nor parents. E good as you learn in a very hard way… Mumu.”
