A Nigerian woman residing in Lagos has described an unusual incident with a commercial biker, often known as an okada rider, who reportedly tried to shortchange her.
She stated on social media that she paid the rider ₦1,000 for a ₦200 trip and expected ₦800 in change.
Instead of recovering the balance, the rider reportedly rode away.
The woman claimed she later spotted the same motorcyclist and challenged him publicly. During the confrontation, she drew attention to herself and the issue, attracting onlookers. Under public pressure, the rider reportedly repaid the entire ₦1,000 while pleading.
She went on to say that she originally refused to collect the money until others interfered and persuaded her to accept it.
