Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo shows biblical evidence that God and Jesus have tattoos

Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo has sparked outrage online after making controversial comments about tattoos during a recent live broadcast.

Speaking to his audience, the well-known preacher maintained that tattoos are biblically endorsed and should not be criticised by believers.

He cited Isaiah 49:16, which states, “Behold, I have indelibly imprinted (tattooed a picture of) you on the palm of each of My hands; {O Zion} your walls are continually before Me.”

According to him, the text implies that God has tattoos.

Pastor Okonkwo claimed that God had “indelibly imprinted” His people on the palms of His hands, likening it to a holy tattoo.

“God himself has tattooed you. Christ himself has tattooed you,” he said, maintaining that the scripture clearly supports his position.

He also disregarded arguments based on the Book of Leviticus, claiming that they are usually misread and applied incorrectly.

The pastor emphasised that he would not teach what he did not completely understand, citing his age and considerable experience in the Christian faith.

In addition, he referenced Revelation 19:16, which says, “And on His garment (robe) and on His thigh He has a name (title) inscribed, king of kings and lord of lords.”

He thought that the verse implies that Jesus wears inscriptions.

Pastor Okonkwo urged believers not to hide their convictions for fear of public opinion, instead pushing them to stand firm in their interpretation of scripture.
