An elderly woman has appealed to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde to intensify efforts toward securing the release of the students and teachers abducted in Oriire Local Government Area.

The appeal was made on Saturday, May 30, as concerns continue to grow over the safety and well-being of the victims.

The woman urged the governor and relevant authorities to take all necessary steps to ensure the safe rescue of the abducted pupils and teachers and reunite them with their families.

Her emotional plea has added to the growing calls from concerned citizens for swift action to address the situation and secure the victims’ freedom.

Speaking in Yoruba, she said;

‘’Please help us because of God. Have mercy on us. I have four of my grandchildren and my daughter in-law with the kidnappers. My daughter in-law who is a teacher is the one holding a baby in the viral video. Please help us. Please help us rescue our children”
