As the public rift within the Okoye family continues, Henry Okoye, the elder brother of music stars Peter and Paul Okoye of P-Square, has accused their former manager and brother, Jude Okoye, of being the major force behind the family’s long-running division.

Speaking during an interview on Friday night, August 7, Henry alleged that Jude’s character and actions tore the family apart, claiming that their late mother had initially opposed allowing him to manage the music duo.

He also dismissed claims that Jude was responsible for building P-Square’s career, insisting that the family had been supporting Peter and Paul long before Jude became involved.

He said:

“When they started this music, they were looking for sponsors. They didn’t get a sponsor. When I started sponsoring them, Jude was not there.

“We would travel from state to state for music. They used my car for flyers. I did bodyguard with them. We were supporting them as a family, but we knew it was Peter and Paul that owned it.”

According to Henry, Jude only became involved in the group’s management after the twins had already begun making progress in the music industry.

He added:

“Before you could know it, Jude came in. We wanted to allow Jude to manage them, but my mum disagreed. She said she knew the kind of character Jude had.”

Henry further alleged that once Jude took over management, Peter and Paul gradually became distant from the rest of the family.

“What happened at last is that they started running away from everybody. We never knew that it was Jude that was causing the problem.”

He also claimed that he had an agreement to receive a percentage of the group’s earnings in recognition of his early contributions but said the promise was never fulfilled.

“Before they started all these things going on, they promised me 20% in each show, but nobody has given me.

“Before I knew it, Jude said, ‘ What do I mean by 20%? For what?’ He said they are flying all around, that what if they have a plane crash, I’ll be enjoying myself. I told him that he wasn’t there when we started, but he came now and is trying to chase everybody away, including Tony, P-Square’s immediate elder brother who was one of their dancers.”

Henry also alleged that Jude has cut ties with him and distanced himself from other struggling family members, including their youngest sister.

“Almost a year to two years, I’m not talking to Jude. He doesn’t talk to me,” Henry claimed.
