Online personality and activist Scott Iguma calls out Lagos government over growing lawlessness

Online celebrity and activist Scott Iguma has voiced concerns about what he claims to be growing environmental neglect and lawlessness in certain areas of Lagos, especially near the Lekki–Epe Expressway.

In his statement, Iguma called attention to traders who are allegedly selling sheep, goats, and cows right in front of banks and business districts along the motorway. He claimed that this poses a risk to the environment and public safety.

He also questioned the enforcement of Lagos State’s transportation regulations, pointing out that although bikes and keke are officially prohibited in some areas, they continue to operate freely with no apparent repercussions.

He claims that some bicycle food delivery riders as well as commercial riders have become accustomed to traffic infractions like taking one-way routes.

Iguma urged the state government and pertinent agencies to take immediate action, adding that Lagos, which was formerly known for having stricter order and regulations, now seems to be poorly enforced.
