Online attention has been generated by a Nigerian man who revealed the reasons behind his removal as head boy in secondary school.

The man, who goes by @Iyelolage on X (previously Twitter), disclosed that he was suspended for a week for opposing the principal’s new hair regulation.

The X user claims that the principal, who belonged to the Deeper Life Bible Church, required all students to have low-cut hairstyles.

But he was persuaded to oppose the new approach by his peers.

They purchased cardboard the following day, scrawled their complaints on it, and affixed the placards to the walls of the school.

He was suspended for one week and removed from his position as head boy when the principal looked into the event.

His peers praised him when he returned to school.

In the meantime, users on X have responded to the post in droves in the comment section.
