A Nigerian man’s post explaining why he didn’t marry his ex-girlfriend after three years of dating has gone viral.
In a widely circulated post, he shared how they met in university.

The man, identified as @Wizeinthebeat on X (previously Twitter), revealed that they met at the 300 level.

Although she was assertive intellectually, he was reticent.

Meanwhile, they established a date for their wedding, and his father was saving up for the bride’s cost.

However, two weeks following the medical exams, the results revealed that they were AS and AA.

The nurse advised them that their children’s genotypes could make them sickle cell carriers.

In the meantime, he was inconsolable about the fate of their unborn kid when his ex-girlfriend called him with tears in her eyes.

The wedding was eventually called off, and he sat in his room gazing at his suit on the day that was meant to be the wedding.

Reflecting on the ordeal, he stated, “I still wish her well. I heard she’s married now. To an AA. I’m still learning how to love someone without seeing her face in it”.
