A Nigerian guy generated outrage online after expressing his thoughts on the recent political debate surrounding Peter Obi and the ADC presidential ticket.
He rejected proposals that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar step aside for Obi, arguing that politics is about strategy and competing for opportunities rather than being given them.

“I just saw a video of somebody saying Atiku should not contest for the ticket to run under ADC, that they should give it to Obi. So you’re telling me Obi left LP without any alignment to secure ADC ticket? This guy is a poor politician.”
The individual went on to compare Obi’s approach to that of President Bola Tinubu, whom he characterised as an astute political strategist.
He contended that political tickets are not given out freely, but must be earned, citing previous political wars and alliances as examples.
“So you’re telling me they have to hand it over to him? Atiku should just say don’t give me, I’ll be fine? It’s not given; it’s collected. I may not like Tinubu, but that guy is a good politician. Do you remember what they did when he fought to collect that ticket? The people that stepped down, do you think they did it willingly?
He also referred to Nyesom Wike, claiming that if he were in Obi’s position, the political scene would be more combative and competitive.
“Imagine it was Wike in Labour Party with the kind of support they gave Obi. By now Tinubu would have been hospitalized,” he added.
His words have fuelled heated political arguments online, as Nigerians continue to evaluate strategies and alliances ahead of future elections.
