A man from northern Nigeria has reportedly said he will not vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election, even though he received two bags of rice and beans from one of the president’s supporters.
In the viral video, the man thanked the supporter for the food items but maintained that the gesture would not sway his political choice.
“I really appreciate him, but I won’t vote for Tinubu in the 2027 election. I will vote for the right candidate,” the man reportedly said.
He was seen showing off the bags of rice and beans he allegedly received, stressing that accepting material help does not automatically mean political loyalty.
His comments have triggered conversations about voter independence, political generosity, and how food distribution influences electoral decisions ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general election.
