The Nollywood industry has been thrown into sadness with the demise of actor Solomon Akiyesi, who died while sleeping.

The revelation was confirmed by current and previous Presidents of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Yakub Abubakar and Dr. Emeka Rollas-Ejezie, over the phone.

The actor’s wife confirmed that he died on Sunday.

Akiyesi established his career with roles in films such as Desperate Ladies, Pretty Liars, Bridge of Contract, and Heart of a Saint, among others, leaving a legacy that many will remember.
