The late Nollywood star Mr Ibu’s first wife has officially replied to recent charges made by Stella Okafor during an interview with King Mitchy, in which she made new allegations about the late actor’s assets and finances contributed during his illness.
According to the woman, Stella Okafor, Mr Ibu’s fifth wife, was involved in the arrest of her first son and their adopted daughter while the actor was in treatment.
She claimed the two were overseeing Nigerian donations at the time.
She went on to say that Stella sold one of the late actor’s houses in Enugu and later attempted to sell another house in Lagos after the family found her a rented flat after allegations that the place had grown inappropriate.
Speaking on the controversy, the late actor’s first wife said, “Stella Okafor, whom King Mitchy interviewed, is the fifth wife of my late husband, while I am his first wife. When my husband was on his sickbed, Stella had my first son and our adopted daughter arrested because they were in charge of the money Nigerians donated.”
She added, “Nigerians please help me beg stella to allow our husband rest in peace. You are the 5th wife, why did you keep on flaunting your children as the only children of Mr Ibu, how about Amara, onyebuchi, Valentine, the twins in porthacort and other children in Ghana?”
The announcement sparked extensive comments on social media, with many users demanding clarification on the claims surrounding the late actor’s estate.
As of the time of reporting, the assertions were only allegations from one party in the ongoing family conflict and had not been independently verified.
