A woman has provoked passionate reactions online after disclosing that her relationship with her sister’s husband ended their marriage and shattered her ties with her sibling for more than seven years.

The woman told her experience anonymously on social media, saying how she sincerely regretted allowing herself to become romantically engaged with her sister’s husband years ago.

According to her, the situation worsened after the man frequently approached her, resulting in a betrayal that permanently shattered the family ties.

She recognised her actions were improper and stated that she has lived with guilt and regret ever since the incident occurred.

“I made the biggest mistake of my life years ago and I have regretted it every single day since then. My sister’s husband started getting close to me and instead of avoiding him completely, I allowed myself get carried away,” she confessed.

The woman claimed that, despite numerous apologies and interventions from family and friends, her sister resisted all attempts at reconciliation and cut off all communication with her.

She also revealed that she has now become a Christian and altered her lifestyle, although she still suffers emotionally from the failed relationship.

“I have begged her countless times. Even after people spoke to her on my behalf, she blocked me everywhere. It has been more than seven years now,” she said.
