A Nigerian mother has taken to social media, claiming that her life is being endangered after raising concerns over a section in her child’s school book.
According to her, the problem arose immediately after she posted a video online wondering whether certain aspects of the book were acceptable for young children.

“Good day Nigerians, I think at this point my life is being threatened. People around me are being picked up and questioned because of the video I made about this book. I only shared my opinion because of my children.”
The mother claimed that a certain piece of the book did not sit well with her as a parent, prompting her to speak out in public.
Following the popular video, she claimed she began receiving phone calls and threats, with some people apparently urging her to remove the footage.
“I only asked if this is what children are reading now, and if it is, it doesn’t sit well with me. I took down the post because I don’t want issues, but they are still threatening me. Parents, please come to my aid,” she added.
Her claims have provoked extensive online comments.
While some people applauded her attitude and advocated for increased surveillance of children’s educational materials, others were concerned about the reported threats.
One user wrote, “Parents need to check what kids are reading.” Another added, “Why threaten her for speaking up? This is serious if true.”
