MC Mbakara, a content creator, has given an explanation for his absence from TikTok stars Peller and Jarvis’ wedding.

MC Mbakara expressed his discomfort with the obligation to buy the wedding aso ebi prior to receiving an invitation in a video.

He said he thought the arrangement was insulting and that instead of having to purchase an invitation or buy aso ebi, he could have given the couple a sizable sum of money.

Online responses to his remarks have been divided, with some endorsing the couple’s wedding plans and others supporting his viewpoint.

“This is the reason I did not attend Peller and Jarvis’ wedding ceremony. First, I’m a senior man. You can’t tell me to buy aso ebi. At my age, a chief. To me, that’s disrespectful. Then I was told that if I didn’t buy the aso ebi, I would have to pay to get an IV. I told him that wasn’t right. I could decide to give you $5,000 on your wedding day, but saying I must buy the aso ebi before I can get an invitation doesn’t make sense…..” he said
