Man who claims to be King Mitchy’s ex-cameraman alleges fake giveaways during charity outreach

King Mitchy, a well-known social media influencer, has been accused by a man posing as her former videographer of staging giveaways for charity outreach events.

He disclosed that he collaborated closely with her until he questioned her behaviour, which resulted in his termination, in a widely shared video on X (previously Twitter).

He claims that although King Mitchy looked giving on television, the truth was far different.

Read what he said below:

“On camera, she would announce giveaways of ₦300,000, ₦500,000, and even ₦1,000,000. But once the cameras were off, she would collect the money back and give the recipients only ₦20,000.”

The former videographer also emphasised how astonished he was by King Mitchy’s reaction when he confronted her.

“She said if I give away all that money, how would I pay you, and what money would I use to feed my family” he added.

Online responses to the accusations have been fierce. Outraged, other Nigerians said that charities and freebies had to be open and honest.

Others warned that before conclusions can be drawn from charges, appropriate proof must be presented.

She accused social media user VeryDarkMan for allegedly keeping NGO funds in his account without any projects or responsibility in sight, which sparked their ongoing online spat.

King Mitchy challenged Seyi Tinubu to improve his charity endeavours while justifying herself by claiming that she had refurbished a public school in just six days with his assistance.

VDM, on the other hand, took it seriously and accused her of assaulting him without evidence and using him as a political pawn in the government’s hands for her own gain.
