According to reports, the son rented a separate apartment for himself and the father’s wife in an attempt to maintain harmony in the home, which led to the incident that happened on Sunday, February 8, 2026.
In Osubi community, Okpe Local Government Area, Delta State, a man who went by the name Iseleto is accused of forcing his 23-year-old son, Miracle, to take his oath.
Sources told Punch that the deceased’s gesture incited his father, who then allegedly dragged him into a nearby bush and repeatedly stabbed him with a dagger.
After performing the crime, the perpetrator left the area right away.
Passersby hurried the injured youngster to a nearby hospital after he allegedly attempted to cross the road from the bush.
He later d!ed after describing how his father had killed him after tricking him into the bush.
In a phone conversation with his stepdaughter, the suspect also confessed to the crime, according to information obtained.
He threatened to kill his wife and stepdaughter for leaving the marital residence and dissolving the marriage, according to reports, when he called other family members to tell them about the incident.
“The suspect is a chronic debtor and drunkard who always beats his wife whenever he drinks himself to stupor,” a community member told reporters.
“At times, he would want to force sexual intercourse with his wife in front of their children in their one-room apartment, and when she refused, he began beating her.
“The suspect also attempted to have carnal knowledge of his step-daughter, and because she refused him, he drove her out of the house.”
SP Bright Edafe, spokesperson for the Delta State Police Command, verified the event and stated that the suspect remained at large.
