In Kazaure, Jigawa State, a man named Nuhu Bakanike died after his son allegedly s£t him on fire.

The community has been rocked by the shocking incident, which is said to have happened early on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.

Reports state that Kabiru, the suspect, allegedly doused his father with gasoline and lit it with matches.

After suffering severe burns from the assault, the victim was taken to the hospital right away, where he passed away while being treated.

The suspect has been taken into custody in order to conduct additional research.
