A Nigerian guy has raised outrage online after exposing how his friend reportedly utilised AI to convince his father that a photo of him smoking was a forgery.

@Ewatomiby shared the story on X, revealing that the pal even created another image to back up his allegation.

According to the article, the friend’s father discovered a picture of his kid smoking and confronted him about it.

“My friend papa saw a picture of him smoking and somehow this guy convinced him that it was A.I …” 

The man apparently persuaded his father that the image was created or modified using artificial intelligence.

The pal allegedly continued the deceit by creating another AI-generated image of his own father smoking.

“He even went ahead to generate a picture of his dad smoking and presented it to him,” @Ewatomiby wrote.

The move was purportedly intended to persuade his father that the initial photograph may also have been created by AI.
