Nollywood actress Peggy Ovire has publicly accused her estranged husband, Frederick Leonard, of having an affair with a married woman and delaying their divorce proceedings.

In a series of posts shared on her Instagram Story, Peggy alleged that Frederick initiated the divorce process but failed to appear in court after being served with the necessary documents.

She further claimed that the actor was involved with another man’s wife, alleging that the woman has four children. Peggy also stated that Frederick had previously denied the allegations through a blogger.

According to the actress, after reviewing the details contained in her divorce petition, Frederick allegedly chose not to attend court proceedings personally and instead sent his lawyer to represent him.

Her comments come months after she shared a cryptic social media post asking women how they would react if they discovered their partner was involved with a married woman who had children.

Speculation about challenges in the couple’s marriage began after Frederick did not publicly celebrate Peggy’s birthday last year and intensified when she posted Christmas photos without him.

Peggy Ovire and Frederick Leonard were married in a traditional wedding ceremony held in Asaba, Delta State, on November 19, 2022.

It is important to note that these are allegations made by Peggy Ovire, and no court ruling or public response from Frederick Leonard confirming the claims was included in the reports.

“You said you wanted a divorce, yet you didn’t show up when you were served. Please don’t avoid the customary court for the 2nd time on June 23rd, because I’m coming with receipts, and let’s get this divorce done and dusted,” she wrote.

“So-called traditional Igbo man with another Igbo man’s wife with 4 children. You ran to a blogger that I was lying, but when you were served and saw details of my petition, you knew I had seen 1 out of many,” she added.
