A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions on social media after revealing how her friend was allegedly insulted by a man she went on a date with after asking him to refund the money she spent on their meal.

The incident was shared by an X user identified as @Abbietrends, who recounted how her friend ended up covering the expenses during the date because of a glitch with the man’s banking application.

According to the account, the woman paid for the meal after the technical issue reportedly prevented the man from completing the payment.

However, three days after the date, she contacted him to request a refund of the money she had spent, only to receive an unexpected response.

Woman Shocked by Man’s Reaction

Recounting the incident, the X user expressed disappointment over the insults her friend allegedly received for asking to be reimbursed.

She questioned why the man would react aggressively to a request to return money that had been spent because of a banking problem.

“Was I the one who ate the food? The insults he gave her, ehn! I couldn’t believe it. Why are some men like this?” she reportedly said.

The total amount spent during the date was not disclosed in the post.
