Kannywood actress Amal Umar has called for a full investigation and justice following the d3ath of a boarding school student, Nihal, who reportedly d!ed while undergoing disciplinary punishment.

The actress, who said she has a personal connection with the victim’s parents, alleged that the girl d!ed after school authorities and senior students ignored her medical condition.

According to her account, the incident began when senior students punished Nihal for arriving late to prayers. Despite reportedly explaining that she suffered from asthma and a heart condition, her pleas were not considered and she was ordered to sweep as punishment.

The situation reportedly worsened when she was later reported to a teacher, who instructed her to kneel as further discipline. It was alleged that the teacher later forgot about her, leaving her in that position for a prolonged period.

Nihal was said to have collapsed during the punishment and was later confirmed d3ad.

Amal Umar has urged relevant education and law enforcement authorities to carry out a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident in order to ensure accountability.
