Judikay, a Nigerian gospel musician, has given an impassioned account of her heartbreaking experience after losing her sixth pregnancy in 2025.
The disclosure sparked strong emotions on social media, with many expressing sorrow and support.
In a touching video circulating online, the singer described the incident that occurred in February 2025 as one of the most terrible moments of her life.
“In February 2025, I experienced a pain that almost crushed me. I was pregnant for over three months. One of those days, I was going about my day and I started to experience cramps,” she said.
She described how what started as slight discomfort gradually turned into something more serious.
“I said, oh, okay, it was one of those things. And then, trickles of blood, I said, oh, okay, spotting. If you’re a woman who’s been pregnant before, you know what spotting refers to.”
According to her, the situation worsened when the bleeding became uncontrollable.
“And then I had the odd trips to use the washboard. And then what I thought should be urine was blood. It didn’t stop. It kept on flowing.”
The singer said she immediately understood the implication of the heavy bleeding.
“And I was devastated because I understood what that meant automatically. I had lost this baby that had gone past the three-month mark again.”
She revealed that the loss marked the sixth time she had gone through such heartbreak.
Judikay disclosed that she was rushed to the hospital, where doctors performed a medical procedure to manage the situation.
“And that was the sixth time. So I was rushed to the hospital and then they did a DNC on me because it was a missed miscarriage, by the way.”
After returning home, she initially believed she had come to terms with the loss.
“And when I returned home, I thought I was okay. I mean, I’d cried, I’d shouted whilst they broke the baby and brought the pieces out.”
However, she said the pain resurfaced in quiet moments, especially at night.
“I thought I was okay afterwards. And I returned home and I said, oh yes, God gets the glory. Everyone who acts, God gets the glory of them.”
Despite her public strength, the singer admitted that the emotional toll was overwhelming in private.
“But then in the silence of the night, I would experience pain that I could not express with words. I would wail and cry and say, Jesus, where are you?”
