An old video of late Nollywood actor Kola Oyewo discussing his health issues has emerged online following his death at the age of 80, eliciting new emotions from fans and colleagues.

The renowned actor, who was generally regarded for his contributions to the Nigerian film industry, was shown in the video discussing a difficult medical journey that began several years ago and ultimately changed his life.

In a rediscovered interview with filmmaker Kunle Afod in 2024, Oyewo claimed that his health issues began in July 2019 when he had problems passing pee.

Concerned about his illness, he reportedly went to a family doctor in Ilaramokin, Ondo State, and was urged to undergo additional medical tests. The condition eventually led to more significant medical treatments.

According to the late actor in the video, doctors performed a number of treatments and operations to manage his problem, which was linked to prostate enlargement.

He added that the condition ultimately necessitated substantial surgical surgery to save his life. The therapy process had a substantial impact on his health and daily existence.
