Two Iranian Ministry of Defense-affiliated missile production facilities in Tehran were the target of airstrikes, according to the Israel Defense Forces.

“In recent days, the Israeli air force acting on IDF intelligence struck two key naval cruise missile production sites in Tehran,” the military said in a statement released on Wednesday, March 25.

According to the IDF, the targeted facilities were involved in developing advanced weapons systems. The statement said the sites were used to “develop and manufacture long-range naval cruise missiles, which are capable of rapidly destroying targets at sea and on land.”

The military described the operation as part of a broader campaign against Iran’s military capabilities, adding: “The strikes represent another step in deepening the damage done to the regime’s military production infrastructure.” The development follows earlier operations by Israeli forces targeting Iranian naval assets.

Last week, the military said its fighter jets struck several Iranian vessels in the Caspian Sea, including ships equipped with anti-submarine missile systems. The latest strikes come amid escalating tensions in the region, with both sides continuing to target strategic military infrastructure.
