In response to her viral registry wedding video with Peller, Nigerian TikToker and AI star Jarvis acknowledged that she was drawn to the mention of a five-year prison sentence during the ceremony.

Following a humorous incident at the registry when the acting registrar clarified that anyone who broke marriage laws might be guilty of bigamy, an infraction that carries a minimum sentence of five years in prison without the possibility of a fine, the couple went viral.

Jarvis claimed in an internet video that she was watching their wedding footage when she saw the moment and began to consider the legal threat once more.

“I don’t know how to do that thing. Hey, hey. That was five years imprisonment or something. I swear to God. I was just thinking about it just now because I just saw the video again.”

She clarified that the warning caused her to pause even though she was enjoying viewing the wedding footage.

“Like, you know, I’m going through the videos and I’m like, I’m blushing but when I go to that one, joke apart. I had to think about it again.”

Jarvis then enquired as to whether the penalty was applicable to both participants in a marriage or just men.

“That’s five years imprisonment pls. Is it for the men only? Or is it for the two of us?”

She continued by saying that Peller’s response during the ceremony made her question whether the penalty was exclusive to men.

“Because I feel like… I feel like for my man (Peller) to react, maybe it’s for the men only. Maybe it’s not for the two of us.”

But she swiftly brushed the idea aside and prayed that it wouldn’t have an impact on their marriage.
