In response to Judy Austin’s 1 billion defamation lawsuit against her, veteran Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has challenged the actress to appear in court.

Due to claimed defamatory remarks, Judy Austin recently filed separate lawsuits against Rita Edochie and her ex-husband, Mr. Obasi.

Judy is reportedly requesting ₦1 billion in damages in her lawsuit against Rita, along with an apology, retraction, and removal of the alleged defamatory remarks.

In response, Rita insisted that she was prepared for the legal processes and questioned if Judy Austin should be labelled as a husband snatcher.

“Is Judy Austin a husband snatcher, yes or no? I’m ready for the court sitting. You will regret making such decisions. They said you’re not the first person to take another woman’s husband and try putting her home in shambles and chaos.

While I agree to this, I still need to say that you will be the first to face the full repercussions. You will be the first to contend with karma. You will be the first person to get back the heat of what you already dished out,” she said.

Following Yul Edochie’s divorce from May Edochie, Rita Edochie has been outspoken about her opinions about Judy Austin and her relationship with Yul Edochie. Her criticism of Judy has continued to garner attention on the internet.

Her most recent comments coincide with the long-running conflict taking a legal turn, with Judy suing Rita for damages and other relief due to words she believes to be defamatory.
