A young lady has sparked reactions online after sharing a video capturing the moment an elderly woman confronted her at a hospital over her choice of outfit and body modification.

The lady was reportedly at the hospital with her sister when the older woman noticed that she was wearing bum shorts and had an eyebrow piercing.

The elderly woman appeared displeased by the young lady’s appearance and openly questioned her choice of clothing and piercing.

“How will you be having an eye piercing and wearing such a thing,” she said.

Sister defends her

The young lady’s sister quickly stepped in to defend her, explaining that the outfit and style were simply her sister’s personal preference.

“That is what she likes. That is how we wear it in our family.”

The elderly woman, however, remained unconvinced and responded:

“Is it what God says?”

The older sister then maintained her position, arguing that their parents had no complaints about the way her sister dressed and that outsiders should not dictate what she wears.

Lady shares encounter online

The young lady later posted footage of the encounter on social media, questioning why strangers feel entitled to judge or police other people’s appearance.

She captioned the video:

“Make una Dey train una mama oo%.
i dont have to talk! I trust my sis she go give her back to back”

The encounter has since generated reactions online, with social media users debating personal freedom, dressing, religious values and whether strangers should comment on other people’s appearance.
