A Nigerian man has ignited an internet debate after posting a photo supposedly showing a newlywed woman being reprimanded at her employment.

The post, uploaded on Facebook by Isaiah Oyewale, has elicited diverse views, with many people commenting on what they would do in such a situation.

In the article, the man encouraged people to envision visiting their newlywed wife at her vocational training facility and finding her kneeling as a punishment from her boss.

He emphasised how perplexing and unsettling such a situation could be, particularly for a husband seeing his wife in that position.

“As a man, imagine you went to visit your newly wedded wife at the place where she’s learning vocational skills.

On getting there, you meet her kneeling down like this. You’re confused, so you ask her why she’s on her knees, and she tells you her boss instructed her to do so as a punishment.

Tell me, what are you going to do next?…”
